Passumpsic Savings banks on new location in Berlin Mall, VT
BERLIN, VT—Berlin Mall, LLC, the owner of Berlin Mall (https://www.theberlinmall.com/) is excited to announce the lease signing of Passumpsic Savings Bank, scheduled to open in Fall of 2018.
Passumpsic Savings Bank (https://www.passumpsicbank.com/) is a community bank founded in 1853 with offices in St. Johnsbury, Danville, Lyndonville, Island Pond and Newport, Vermont, as well as Littleton, Lancaster, Groveton, and Whitefield, New Hampshire. The new location in the mall, marks the bank’s 7th location in Vermont, and the Berlin branch offers a full line of financial products and services, as well as convenient drive-through.
In addition, Passumpsic Savings Bank is focused on improving the prosperity of the people in the communities it serves. “This includes community volunteerism, and direct investment in projects that bring economic development to our markets,” said James Kisch, Chief Executive and President of the bank.
Passumpsic Savings Bank is the third new tenant this year to call the Berlin Mall home—Soup’er Heroes, a superhero themed sandwich shop featuring fresh ingredients, recently opened, and Juicebox, a healthy one-stop shop for the freshest, made-to-order juice and raw food products, is slated to open in late Summer.
“We’re continuing to working hard to secure tenants like Passumpsic Savings Bank and our other recent additions that meet the community’s needs and wants, while realizing our vision of creating a community space featuring positive experiences for residents and visitors alike,” said Ken Simon, VP of Heidenberg Properties Group, owners of Berlin Mall, LLC.
As example, the Mall hosted the 2nd annual Walk the Long Trail at Berlin Mall this past winter, and this popular event attracted more than 900 registered walkers, raising $10,000 for the Green Mountain Club. “We’re looking forward to hosting the 3rd annual Walk, and we’re planning other community-centric events for people of all ages to enjoy here in Central Vermont, “said Land Strategies’ Michael Rushman, the Mall’s Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning.
Berlin Mall’s anchor tenants include Walmart, Kohl’s and JCPenney, and just this past year, Planet Fitness and Supercuts joined the mall’s impressive tenant roster.
“We’re enjoying good momentum here,” said Mall Manager, Gerry Hanifin. “With the addition of Passumpsic Savings Bank, Soup’er Heroes and Juicebox, and events like Walk the Long Trail at Berlin Mall, we’re creating a vibrant town center benefiting our tenants and visitors alike,” added Hanifin.
